Pending Mechanic Shortage

Is no secret that our sector of the industry has a severe shortage in Rotary Mechanics. With a large percentage of the Mechanic population now nearing retirement and low enrollment rates in Colleges for the courses soon we are going to be in a desperate situation.

Salaries for Rotary Mechanics are nothing to be sneezed at too, with junior mechanics starting around $45000 a year and with experienced Mechanics with speciality skills able to being in salaries over well over $100 000 a year. There are positions for Mechanics here in the USA as well as overseas. With the overseas positions pulling higher salaries and benefits.

Aviation Futures wants to help with this, and give scholarships for Mechanics to go to College and get traineeships at Maintenance companies and flight schools.
